Position Overview: As a Store Supervisor in a Business-to-Business (B2B) firm, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient operation and management of the store. You will be responsible for supervising a team of store employees, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role is crucial in maintaining a smooth workflow, optimizing inventory levels, and meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Supervision:

    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of store personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
    • Foster a positive work environment, provide guidance and support to the team, and address any issues or conflicts that arise.
  2. Inventory Management:

    • Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, stocking, and replenishing merchandise.
    • Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and ensure product availability.
  3. Customer Service:

    • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained by all store employees.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Foster strong relationships with key B2B clients, understand their needs, and provide appropriate solutions.
  4. Store Operations:

    • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and properly maintained at all times.
    • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store operations.
    • Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
    • Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Vendor Management:

    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
    • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and promotions with vendors to maximize profitability.
    • Evaluate and select new vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria.
  6. Health and Safety:

    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees and customers.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in retail or store management, preferably in a B2B setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
  • Attention to detail, organized, and capable of multitasking.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and loss prevention strategies.
